Abstract: The Paul J. Hallinan - Vatican Council II Collection consists of the correspondence, notes, newspaper and magazine articles, other related material, and also published and non-published documents relating to the time leading up to and including his involvement in the Second Vatican Council and his post-conciliar work. The earliest documents are a copy of a newspaper announcing the convocation of the second Vatican Council and Hallinan's personal invitation from the Vatican Secretarial Office. Some of the later material includes his work on the post-conciliar Commission on the Sacred Liturgy.

The earliest documents are a copy of a newspaper announcing the convocation of the second Vatican Council and Hallinan's personal invitation from the Vatican Secretarial Office. Some of the later material includes his work on the post-conciliar Commission on the Sacred Liturgy (he was the only American on this commission)
